ManyStops

ManyStops or a price-comparison app

Last updated September 2026

Flipp and Basket both help you pay less for groceries. They answer a different question from ManyStops, and each is good at its own.

A produce aisle in a grocery co-op, with rainbow chard, carrots and cabbages in slanted baskets and price signs written in chalk above them.
A price on a shelf is half of the decision. The other half is the drive to get there.

What Flipp does

Flipp gathers the weekly flyers of stores near you. Its site puts the count at more than 2,000 stores. You can browse the flyers or search them for one item. You can clip coupons to use in the store. You can add a deal, or anything else, to a shopping list.

What Basket does

Basket compares the price of your list between stores. You make a list, and Basket shows which stores carry your items and the total at each one. Its prices come from its community of shoppers, who share them as they shop. Its site names large chains such as Walmart and Kroger, with hundreds more.

What ManyStops does

ManyStops keeps the prices you paid, at the stores you use. That includes the independent and international stores that publish no flyer. It splits your list between those stores and lays out each way to do the trip, with the drive. With Plus, it says what each way will likely cost, and when the trip can wait.

Three different jobs

The question each one answers
Flipp: what is on sale this week, and where.
Basket: which store's total for this list is lowest, by the prices its shoppers shared.
ManyStops: which of your own stores to visit today, by the prices you paid there.
Where the prices come from
Flipp: the stores' own weekly flyers.
Basket: its shoppers.
ManyStops: you, as you shop or from a receipt. Before your first trip, an estimate for your area fills the gap where it has one.
Which stores
Flipp: the stores whose flyers it carries.
Basket: the stores its shoppers have priced.
ManyStops: any store you walk into.

Using them together

The three sit well side by side. Flipp is the place to see this week's deals at the big chains. Basket is the place to see which chain's total comes out lowest. ManyStops is the place for your own week. It knows the stores you use and the prices you paid there. When a flyer shows a lower price at one of your stores, buy it there and type the price into ManyStops as you pick it up. The next plan uses it.

If deals and coupons at the big chains are what you are after, Flipp does that job and ManyStops does not try to. ManyStops carries no flyers and no coupons.
